Definition of author omniscient

 

Author omniscient: An omniscient author is capable of seeing, knowing, and telling whatever he wishes. He is free to move his characters in time and place, to describe the physical action and private thoughts of characters, to comment on what happens and to make clear the theme of his story in whatever way he chooses (cf. point of view).
