Definition of gopar

 

Gopar: Short for "gross operating profit per available room." Using the Uniform System of: Accounts for Hotels, it is computed as:: Total: Revenue - (Direct Oper­ating: Expense + Indirect Operating: Expense) =: Total: Rooms: Available to: Be Sold.: Go Par considers the "cost" of selling rooms (not simply the total revenue achieved) when evaluating sales effectiveness.
