Definition of bandwidth
Bandwidth: A bandwidth is a range of frequencies. AM, FM, UHF, VHF, and 2.4GHz are all frequencies. Bandwidth is also a term used to describe available space on a network. The amount of data that can be passed through the wires that connect us to the Internet. Because our phone lines have low-capacity bandwidth, web video is still at a primitive stage. As ASDL lines and cable modems become more widespread, so will web video and tele-conferencing.
