Definition of cif

 

CIF - Expressão do transporte internacional (INCOTERM) que significa Custo, Seguro e Frete (Cost, Insurance and Freigth) para indicar que o material/produto cotado já está com tudo embutido no seu preço final, ou seja, é posto no destino. É a operação em que o vendedor se incumbe de fornecer o seguro contra o risco de perdas e danos dos produtos no decorrer do transporte. É o vendedor que firma contrato com a seguradora e paga o prêmio do seguro.
