Capacidade Ociosa - é a diferença entre a capacidade efetiva e a capacidade nominal. Por exemplo, se uma indústria possui capacidade nominal para produzir 100 unidades de produto diariamente e somente produz 70 unidades, diz-se que a mesma está operando com uma ociosidade de 30% ou que possui capacidade ociosa de 30%.
