Definition of churning

 

Churning: The practice of dealing in shares or other securities purely to generate commission for the person doing the churning, not for the client. Strictly illegal: Collective funds: Any scheme where investors pool their resources to spread their investment risks. Popular forms of collective funds include unit and investment trusts in Britain and mutual funds in America.
