Definition of debye temperature (6d)*
Debye temperature (6D)* - In the Debye model of the heat capacity of a crystalline solid, 8D = hvD/k, where h is Planck's constant, k is the Boltzmann constant, and vD is the maximum vibrational frequency the crystal can support. For T << 9D, the heat capacity is proportional to T3.
