Definition of brewster angle

 

Brewster angle - The angle of incidence for which the maximum degree of plane polarization occurs when a beam of unpolar-ized light is incident on the surface of a medium of refractive index n. At this angle, the angle between the reflected and refracted beams is 90°. The value of the Brewster angle is tan-1n.
