Definition of antiferroelectricity*
Antiferroelectricity* - An effect analogous to antiferromagnet-ism in which electric dipoles in a crystal are ordered in two sublattices that are polarized in opposite directions, leading to zero net polarization. The effect vanishes above a critical temperature.
