Glossary of business
Definition of maslow
Abraham Maslow classified the needs of employees of a firm into a series of levels - a hierarchy of needs. To progress to the next level in the hierarchy, the employee has to satisfy the current level of needs. At the bottom of the hierarchy are physiological needs (basic survival needs) followed by safety needs, love and belonging needs, esteem needs and at the top of the hierarchy self-actualisation needs.
