Definition of smoke, smoked
SMOKE, SMOKED: Method of processing meat by exposing it to smoke from burning wood, wood shavings or sawdust (usually of hardwoods in a smokehouse or other closed containment), or by applying liquid smoke externally as a curing ingredient. The term “smoked” does not necessarily mean the product is fully cooked.
