Definition of kosher
KOSHER: Meat from the forequarters of animals (beef, lamb, veal, poultry, but not pork) that are harvested, inspected and processed under the supervision of persons authorized by the Jewish faith, thus meeting the standards of the Mosaic and Talmudic laws. Kosher products are also inspected by federal or state inspectors.
