Definition of added beef fat
ADDED BEEF FAT: Fat that has been separated from muscles during trimming of a beef carcass or cut, and which has been incorporated into a beef product. May be used in the production of Hamburger, Beef Patties and Beef Patty Mix, but may not be used in Ground Beef, Pure Beef Patties, Pure Beef Patty Mix or Ground Beef identified from specific muscles or primals (i.e., Ground Chuck, Ground Round, Chopped Sirloin, etc.). Must be listed on the label when used in Beef Patties or Beef Patty Mix.
